Let’s walk through how to set up your tax filing information in Payable in order to get your tax forms! Completing your settings and any required forms, like a W-9, is simple and can be done on any device.
You should get an email invitation to join Payable from a company you’ve received payments from or done work for. Here’s an example of what the invitation email will look like from a company we made up, Delivery Now. Go ahead and click “Sign Up.”
Be sure to check your spam folder if you can’t find the email in your inbox.
In this step, just provide: First Name, Last Name, Email, and Password.
Here you’ll add your name, country, and business type (whether you're an individual, sole-proprietorship, LLC, or incorporated).

If your company wants to collect a signed W-9 from you, you'll see this step. Your W-9 can be signed on any device (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.) and is completed in just a couple taps. Start by tapping on "Review & Sign." Once Signed tap "Next" to continue the onboarding flow.
In this final step, you’ll choose whether you want your form e-delivered via email and available as a printable PDF on the Payable dashboard OR have it mailed to the address you put on the form.
Companies are required by the IRS to obtain consent from you in order to use e-delivery. Otherwise, they're required to mail you a 1099 form. Either option is free for you so pick your preference!
If you need to update or change your information at any time, just click on your initials or avatar in the top right circle and select "My Account." There you'll be able to update all of your information.
