Payable has been acquired by Stripe. Please read our public announcement for more information on the acquisition. Everyone on the Payable team would like to thank you for your business over the past 3 years. Helping businesses like yourselves has made it a joy to come into work every single day.

Below you'll find context on how this change will affect your specific company.

What does it mean for my company?

Over the last two tax seasons Payable has found the greatest impact by providing 1099 filing for Stripe’s customers. As part of this acquisition, we will only be offering 1099 filing for businesses processing payments within the Stripe ecosystem.

There are a number of other offerings that can help you file and deliver your 1099 tax forms for the current tax year. And we recommend you look into Stripe Connect for their extremely powerful payments workflows. We apologize for the inconvenience this is going to cause your team. You can reach out to us at support@payable.com.

What does it mean for my 1099 recipients?

Your recipients will not receive their 2017 1099 Tax Form via Payable. Even after you have migrated to another provider, your contractors who’ve created Payable accounts will still be able to login to Payable to access their 1099 tax forms for previous years. Tax information will remain accessible to them through 2020. Thanks again for being a great customer.
