Payable Is Sunsetting Payments and Work Tracking Products

What does it mean for my company?

Payable will be sunsetting our contractor payments, and work tracking products on December 31, 2017.

This means that you will not be able to add new work entries and initiate new payments in 2018. However, you’ll still be able to access all your Payable history for the foreseeable future. You will also be able to use Payable to seamlessly file your 1099 tax forms for the full 2017 tax year.

Unfortunately, you will need to start working to implement another solution to manage the work tracking and payouts for your contractors. Stripe Connect provides all of the powerful tools that we have used to manage your payments, but does require access to software engineers to manage the process via programmatic APIs. What does it mean for my contractors?

Even after you have migrated to another provider, your contractors who’ve created Payable accounts will still be able to login to Payable to access their 1099 tax forms. Tax information will remain accessible to them through 2020. Thanks again for being a great customer.
